Emerging artist Kareen Kjelstrom, introduces her latest collection of handKrafted glass and sterling silver jewelry to Singapore. Worn by personalities like Marie Drucker of France 3's Soir 3, Kjelstrom's designs have also been showcased in the U.S. on Home and Garden Television.
Recently moving to Singapore from France, Kjelstrom has distributed her creations at the Carrousel du Louvre and exclusive boutiques in the Marais, as well as the VIA Gallery in the Viaduc des Arts; all in Paris.
Born in Hawaii and raised in California, Kjelstrom spent her formative years on the coast of the Pacific (her mother is Tahitian). After many years in Paris and the south of France, she is now based full-time in Singapore. Her extensive travels and diverse cultural influences are reflected in each KbyKareen piece.
About KbyKareen
Established in 2003, KbyKareen handKrafted jewelry designs are individually created with precise manual work. The handcrafted glass beads are made from Effetre (fine Italian glass) and the settings are hand-formed sterling silver. This self-taught lampwork artist melts glass at 900 C using an oxygen/propane mix torch. Semi-precious stones are often incorporated to accent her creations.
